SplitSimple (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is developed and operated by Algobear (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us"). This App does not require user registration or login, nor does it actively collect, store, or upload your personal identification information (such as name, phone number, ID number, contacts, location data, etc.).

We strictly adhere to the principles of legality, legitimacy, necessity, and data minimization in data processing. This policy explains: what data is processed when you use the App, how it is processed, and your rights.

2.1 Device and Usage Data (Local/Anonymous)

• Device Information: App version, system version, device model (used solely for crash analysis and compatibility, without uploading personal identifiers).
• Usage Data: Feature clicks, page duration, crash logs (used solely for stability optimization, not associated with personal identity).
• Local Storage Data:
  • Your created groups, bills, amounts, notes, and participant nicknames (stored only locally on your device, never uploaded to any server).
  • All data is visible only to you and will be deleted locally upon uninstalling the App.

We only process data in the following scenarios:

• Providing core features: bill splitting, group management, and settlement calculation.
• Fixing crashes, optimizing performance, and improving user experience (anonymous statistics only).
• Processing Pro version subscriptions (payment and orders are handled by Apple; we only receive subscription status, without accessing your payment information).
• Complying with legal requirements and responding to law enforcement requests (if applicable).

4. Data Storage and Security

• All bill and group data is stored only locally on your device, never uploaded to the cloud.
• We use device-level security mechanisms to protect local data.
• You can delete the App or clear local data at any time; data will be permanently destroyed.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate the following third-party services, which are bound by their own privacy policies:

• Apple Subscriptions and Payments: Order and payment information is collected and processed by Apple.
• Crash Analytics (if used): Only anonymous crash logs, containing no personal information.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and export locally stored bills and group data.
• Correct and delete any local records.
• Uninstall the App at any time to clear all local data.

7. Policy Updates

We may revise this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified within the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
